Cookie Policy

We keep cookie usage minimal. Here's a plain-English breakdown of what we use and why.

Last updated: March 1, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how visitors interact with the service. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tracking — we describe all of these below.

2. Anonymous Visitors — No Cookies

If you use Cashday without creating an account, we do not set any cookies. Your invoice data is held in browser memory only and is discarded when you close the tab. No tracking, no analytics, no ads — your data never leaves your device.

3. Essential Cookies (Registered Users)

When you sign in, we set strictly necessary cookies that make the Service function. These cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.

4. Analytics Cookies

For registered users, we collect anonymous usage analytics to understand which features are most useful and to improve the product. This data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you individually.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or sell analytics data to third parties.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe, our payment processor, may set cookies during the checkout flow to prevent fraud and ensure secure transactions. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. They are only active during the payment process and are not used for advertising.

6. How to Control Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.

Browser instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

You can also opt out of analytics cookies by emailing privacy@cashday.app. We will apply a server-side opt-out flag to your account within 7 days.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove features. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
